Billy R. Higgins, age 73, died Saturday, July 5, 2025, at 940 Yelverton Grove Road, Smithfield, NC. He died at home after several months of sickness with cancer. Born, April 29, 1952, in Johnston County, he was a son of the late Cleron H. and Dorothy W. Higgins. He was preceded din death by his sisters, Mable H. Johnson and Deborah H. Sessoms, and brothers, Linwood M. Higgins and Jerry R. Higgins.

He is survived by his children, Kellie Higgins, Christopher Higgins, and Jessica Higgins; four grandchildren; brothers, J.L. Higgins, Bobby R. Higgins, and Danny R. Higgins and wife India; sisters, Clara H. Powell, Patricia H. Jackson and husband Stacy L. Jackson; and many nieces and nephews.
