Clayton- Betty June Scalf Poston, age 92, passed away on Monday, July 17, 2023, in her home of Clayton. Born, March 15, 1932, in Kentucky, she was a daughter of the late Amos and Nell Sclaf. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Poston and her son, James Monroe Poston. Betty served in the United States Airforce as a receptionist at the Pentagon in Washington DC. She attended church at Elizabeth Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, and friend.

She is survived by her son, Ronald Poston of Raleigh, nephew Robert "Robbie" Poston of Chicago, and other friends and family.
