Betty Donovan passed away on Wednesday. She was the devoted wife of Joseph Donovan, with whom she shared 41 years of marriage, and the loving mother of their daughter, Christie Donovan. She was also a proud grandmother to Izabella Cowen, who brought joy and light to her life.
Born to Eva Perez and Pedro Juan Valentin, Betty shared a deep and lifelong bond with her parents. Their love and influence helped shape the strong, resilient woman she became, and she carried their memory and guidance with her throughout her life.
Betty was proud to be a military wife and spent many years traveling the world with Joseph during his service in the U.S. Air Force. Together, they lived in various places across the United States and abroad, including England and Germany. These adventures added richness and perspective to her life that she deeply cherished.
Throughout her life, Betty took on many roles. She helped raise her niece, Luvena Brown, during her younger years. Their relationship had its ups and downs, but it was a meaningful part of both of their stories. Family was always a central part of Betty's life. She is preceded in death by her sisters Nilda and Liz, and is survived by her sisters Carmen, Evelyn, Jenny, and Vicki. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, including Alexis, who held a special place in her life.
Betty had a deep love for animals and leaves behind her loyal dog, Molly, and her beloved cat, Girlie, who brought her joy and companionship. She will be remembered for her strength, adventurous spirit, and the deep connections she built with those around her. She had a big personality and left a lasting mark on everyone who knew her.
She will be missed and remembered in many ways by all who were part of her journey.
