Mrs. Bertha Spivey Campbell, 88, passed away peacefully at the Indigo Senior Living and Memory Care facility in Pikeville, NC, on January 19, 2025. Bertha was born in Kenly, NC, to the late William Arthur "Bud" Spivey, and Lula Whitley Spivey. She worked for Carolina Telephone and Telegraph for 41 years. Upon her retirement, she lovingly cared for her husband, Billy Everette Campbell (deceased). She then returned to the workforce where she worked for approximately 10 years with New Innovative Products in Pine Level.

Bertha was a sweet person, who loved her family immensely. She loved and cherished her son (Shay), daughter in law (Coletta), and granddaughter (Leah). She loved and enjoyed her extended family of friends from church and work as well. Her biggest love was the love of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

In addition to her father, mother and husband, Bertha is also preceded in death by her sisters, Alene Radford, and Betty Benson; brothers, Arthur Calvin "AC" Spivey, Paul Spivey, Ray Spivey, and Robert Spivey.

The family will receive visitors at Parrish Funeral Home on Thursday January 23, 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service will be held in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home on Friday January 24, 2025 at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow the service on Friday in Selma Memorial Gardens.

She is survived by her son, Shay Campbell, and wife Coletta of Goldsboro; granddaughter, Leah Campbell, and fiancé Slaton Brown of Raleigh; sisters, Geneva S. Wall Spivey, Shirley Brown; Sister-in-law, Connie Spivey; several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers ,memorial contributions may be sent to the activity programs at The Indigo in Pikeville, NC or to Gentiva Hospice.
