Barbara Pilkington Temple, age 71, of Smithfield, passed away at her home on July 14, 2020.  Born in Johnston County on July 11, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Thurman and Christine Stanley Pilkington.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 17, at 2:00 PM in Sunset Memorial Park in Smithfield.  There will not be a formal visitation but the public may come by Parrish Funeral Home in Selma during normal business hours and pay their respects.

Surviving are her husband, Sam Temple; her son, Samuel Temple and wife Crystal; and grandchildren Shelby Rebecca and Sarah Christine Temple.
