Obituary

Annie Belle Parker West, 77, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, June 2, 2026.

Born on August 24, 1948, in Johnston County, Ann was the daughter of the late William and Flonnie Parker. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of more than 59 years, Nathan Carlton West; her grandson, Colby L. McLamb; and her brothers, Willie Parker and Joseph Parker.

For more than 21 years, Ann dedicated herself to caring for children through a home daycare she operated from her residence. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who treasured every moment spent with her family. Her grandchildren and great-granddaughter, Peyton Rae McLamb, held a special place in her heart. Following the loss of her husband, Ann found comfort and companionship in her cherished dog, Gracey, who brought her great joy.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 7, 2026, in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Hills of the Neuse Memory Garden.

Ann is survived by her son, Nathan West, Jr. and wife, Delia, of Four Oaks; her daughter, Pamela West of Dunn; her grandchildren, Nathan West and fiancée Stephanie Fish, Alex West, and Jenson McLamb; granddaughter-in-law Lauren McLamb; great-granddaughter Peyton Rae McLamb; brothers Harvey Parker and wife Betty Rose, and Ira Parker; and sisters Mary Ellen Welsh and husband Paige, Louie McLamb, and Floy Mae Barbour.

Ann will be remembered for her kindness, devotion to family, and the love she shared with all who knew her. Her legacy lives on in the many lives she touched and in the family she cherished so deeply.
