Smithfield – Annie Ruth Parrish, age 85 passed away June 6, 2019 at Liberty Commons Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Benson. Born February 18, 1934 in Wayne County to the late Addie Lee and Lou Pearl Smith Futrell. In addition to her parents Mrs. Parrish is also preceded in death by husbands Coleman Dudley and Oscar Parrish; Son, Edward Lee Dudley; Brothers Paul and Edgar " Jimmy" Futrell; Sisters, Margaret Mozingo and Mary Lou Strickland. A graveside service will be conducted Tuesday June 11, 2019 at 11 AM at Bethel Church Cemetery in Four Oaks, with Rev. Clay Meadows officiating. Mrs. Parrish is survived by sons, Gary and Kenneth Dudley of Smithfield; Daughter Linda Dudley Rincon of Selma; Brother, Thurman Futrell of SC; Sister, Frances Combs of Goldsboro; Grandchildren, Eddie Dudley II, Amanda Radford and husband Kevin of Smithfield, Samantha Dudley of Smithfield, Juan Rincon Jr. of Selma, Elizabeth Rincon of Selma, Candace Penny and Husband Patrick of Selma; Great grandchildren Mackenzie Radford, Ariella Pena Rincon, Hunter Johnson, and Abigail Penny. Mrs. Parrish was a member of Emanuel Holiness church in Selma and loved to cook and sing.
