Ann Edwards Langston, 86, of Rocky Mount, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 13, 2026, at SECU Hospice House in Smithfield. Born September 18, 1939, she was the daughter of the late David Archie Edwards and Minnie Mozingo Edwards. In addition to her parents, Ann is preceded in death by her husband, Aaron Willard Langston; and sister, Jean Edwards.
Ann was a woman whose gentle spirit and loving heart touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. A member of Englewood Baptist Church in Rocky Mount, she was a devoted woman of faith who found great joy in sharing the love of Jesus with others. Her soft, quiet voice reflected the warmth, kindness, and sweetness that were such a natural part of who she was. Ann was always welcoming, and her gentle spirit made others feel loved and at ease in her presence. She had many talents and interests that brought her joy. Ann was a wonderful cook, enjoyed baking, and was an incredible seamstress. She was an avid NC State fan and loved playing cornhole, at which she was quite talented. Above all, Ann will be remembered for her loving heart, kind and gentle spirit, and the love she so freely shared with those around her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, kindness, and beautiful memories that will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Funeral services will take place on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at 11:00am, in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home. The family will receive visitors one-hour before the service, beginning at 10:00am.
