Beaufort – Anita Yvonne Batten, age 65, passed away Sunday April 21, 2024 at Pruitt Health Crystal Coast in Beaufort, NC. She was born in Wilson County on September 23, 1958 to the late Arthur Wade Batten and Betty Mae Scott Batten.

In addition to her father and mother, she is also preceded in death by her grandparents, and many uncles, aunts, and cousins from the Scott and Batten family's.

A graveside service will be held in Scott Family Cemetery in Kenly on Sunday April 28, 2024 at 2:00 PM with Rev. David Sutphin officiating.

She is survived by her aunt, Gladys Way, and husband George of Wilson; her best friend, Becky; legal guardian/cousin, Brenda Phillips as well as many other family members from both the Scott and Batten family.

Anita enjoyed talking with people, coloring, drawing and word searches.

The family would like to thank all the employees at Pruitt Health for the great care they gave to Anita.
