Alma Grace Bass, 75, passed away, Monday, April 7, 2025, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro. Born, December 9, 1949, in Wayne County, she was a daughter of the late Willie Carl and Beatrice Williamson. She is preceded in death by her brothers, Jack Williamson and Bill Williamson, and a sister, Margie Williamson. Grace, also known as "Possum" was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed making people laugh. Grace loved her two dogs, Lucy and Peanut. She was a member of Pleasant Plain OFWB Church in Selma and loved God. She enjoyed fishing with her husband and many trips to the mountains. Grace also enjoyed going out to eat, especially to get ice cream.
A funeral service will be held Friday, April 11, 2025, in the chapel at Parrish Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow in the Princeton Cemetery.
Grace is survived by her husband of 39 years, Charlie Bass, Jr.; daughter, Crystal Rose (Andy); stepdaughters, Melissa Ward (Chris) and Amanda Bryant; grandchildren, DJ and Hunter Thompson, Leah Ward, Amber Berlind, and Andrew Bryant; great-grandson, Jace Berlind; and a sister, Linda Parham (Glenn).
