Dunn – Alie Marie Stanley McLean, age 86, passed away on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, in Liberty Commons Nursing & Rehab in Benson, NC. Born, September 26, 1937, in Johnston County, she was a daughter of the late Knox Stanley and Esther Gardner Stanely.  She is preceded in death by her late husbands, Robert Azel Stanley, Alton Benton Jones, and Charles McLean, children; Robert Danny Stanley, William Alton Jones, Dennis Wayne Stanley, Melba Gray Stanley, Elgie Lou Baker, as well as her grandchildren; Priscilla Ann Bass, Terry Lyn Bass, and Charles Bass. Alie loved working in flowers and she even worked at a nursery for a period of time. She was a wonderful homemaker and always looked after her family. Alie also had a love for her dog Josie, but most importantly she loved all her family, she was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, March 3, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home in Selma with the burial to follow in Bethel Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 2, 2024, from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

She is survived by her sons, Gordon Mack Stanley (Brenda) of Princeton, James Benton Jones (Connie Baker) of Dunn, daughter, Melissa Gail Jones of Middlesex, 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
