Mr. Albert Boykin, age 89, passed away on October 13, 2025, at his residence, surrounded by his 2 children. Parrish Funeral Home in Selma will handle the arrangements. Mr. Boykin was born on March 29, 1936, in Nash County, NC, to the late William Everette Boykin and the late Ora Creech Boykin. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sisters Jessie Driver, Rosa Svoboda, Tressa Lee Crumpler, and Rachael O'Neal, and brothers, William Boykin Jr and Franklin Boykin.  He was also preceded in death by his loving wife of 62 years, Betty Faye Godwin Boykin

Albert served in the Army between 1954 and 1957.  He was stationed in West Germany as a crew chief/mechanic on a Sikorsky H-34 helicopter.  Albert retired from Sellers Auto Parts (now Walker-NAPA) in Selma with 47 years of service. Albert was also a long-time member of the Antioch Fire Department in Johnston County.   He loved spending time working on his tractors and mowers and enjoyed time with family and friends.

Surviving are his children, Teresa Boykin Jernigan and Tim of Middlesex, NC, Randall Scott Boykin and Lisa of Macon, NC; 4 grandchildren, Michael Jernigan, Vickie Jernigan Vance (Josh), Courtney Boykin Alford (David) and Kaitlyn Boykin (Matthew Gould); 8 great-grandchildren, Micala, Austin, Brayden, Ava-Kate, Hunter, Kinslee, Brewer and Dominick; 2 great-great grandchildren, Maverick and Miguel; sister-in-law, Edith McGraw; special pet, Tigger; and many other loving nieces, nephews, family and friends.

The family appreciates the support and Hospice care provided by Amedisys, and Home Life Care provided the VA.

The family appreciates your thoughts and prayers.  The visitation will be held on Friday, October 17, 2025, from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m., with a funeral service following at 2:00 p.m. at Antioch Baptist Church, Middlesex, NC. The family will receive visitors at other times at the home.
