Smithfield – Addie Austin Wallace, age 104, passed away Tuesday June 25, 2024 at her home in Smithfield. She was born in Johnston County on April 17, 1920 to the late Lonnie Benton Austin and Louie Catherine Langdon Austin. In addition to her father and mother, she is also preceded in death by her husbands, Willard A. Wallace, and Joe Penny as well as 10 brothers and sisters.

The family will receive visitors at Parrish Funeral Home on Thursday June 27, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A funeral service will be conducted on Friday June 28, 2024 at 11 AM at Hopewell OFWB Church. She will be laid to rest beside her husband Willard following the service on Friday in Hills of the Neuse Memory Gardens.

She is survived by her son, Dr. H. Mac Wallace; daughter, Dr. Wanda T. Wallace; grandchildren, Michael Wallace, Ricky Wallace, Alex Trahey; great grandchildren, Dillon, David, Derek Wallace; great great grandchildren, Payton, Grayson, and Addie Wallace.

Addie was a long-time member at Hopewell OFWB Church and enjoyed spending time at church, dancing and tending to her rose garden.
