Mary Hilda Peedin Starling
November 27, 1928 - April 23, 2012Smithfield - Mary Hilda Peedin Starling, age 83, died Monday morning in Johnston Medical Center. Born November 27, 1928 in Johnston County to the late Luther and Mary Eliza Woodard Peedin, she was the widow of James Monroe Starling who died November 27, 2002. She was a member of Sardis Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home with the Rev. Craig Langdon officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. The burial will take place at 10:00 a.m. Thursday in Sunset Memorial Park.
Surviving are her sons, Floyd Starling and wife Debbie of Bailey and James Starling and wife Toni of Aurora; daughter, Theresa Dianne Daughtry and husband Danny of Smithfield; 16 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
