Rev. Bertram George Pollett
November 02, 1918 - April 12, 2012Smithfield - Rev. Bertram George Pollett, age 93, died Thursday afternoon in Florence, South Carolina. Born November 2, 1918 in Newark, NJ he was a son of the late John Pollett. He was preceded in death by his wife Ruth Hochstrasser Pollett and daughter Janet Stocks. Rev. Pollett was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II and a retired Baptist minister.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, April 15, 2012 at Unity Free Will Baptist Church in Smithfield with the Rev. Mike McAuley officiating. A private burial, with military honors, will follow in Montlawn Memorial Park in Raleigh.
Surviving are his sons, Raymond Pollett and wife Shirley of Blaine, WA, George Pollett and wife Cynthia of Florence, SC and Richard Pollett and wife Barbara of Kissimmee, FL; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. Sunday at the church just prior to the service.
