Sarah Frances Lewis Woodard
July 11, 1936 - April 08, 2012Smithfield – Sarah Frances Lewis Woodard, age 75, died Sunday, April 8, 2012 in Lilburn, GA. Born July 11, 1936 in Johnston County to the late Vernon Paul and Ada Lee Tyner Lewis, she was preceded in death by an infant son, Michael Anthony Woodard. Fran was retired from the federal government in 1990 after 28 years, the last 22 with the EPA as a Budget Officer. She was a member of the Tee’s Chapel FWB Church in Smithfield.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 4:30 p.m. in the Tee’s Chapel Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Surviving are her husband of 57 years, Charles Layton Woodard; son, Warren Charles Woodard and wife, Leanne of Lawrenceville, GA; brother, Mac Lewis of Smithfield; sisters, Cathy Greene and Gladys Kincaid both of Smithfield and Angela Moore of Raleigh and two grandchildren, Aubree Woodard and Ryan Woodard.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 – 4:30 p.m. Thursday just prior to the service
