James Oscar Norris

August 21, 1941 - July 21, 2010

Princeton – James Oscar “Jimmy” Norris, age 68, died Wednesday morning in Johnston Medical Center. Born August 21, 1941 in Johnston County to the late William A. and Cleo Woodard Norris he was a retired maintenance and fuel operator for CP & L. Jimmy was a very active member of the Smithfield Camp of the Sons of the Confederacy for many years.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday in the Princeton Cemetery.
Surviving are his wife, Sue Braswell Norris; daughters, Elaine Norris Langdon, Teresa Norris Phillips and Amy Norris Rutledge and husband Tommy all of Princeton. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, Trevor Langdon, Dalton Langdon, Kelsey Langdon, Kristin Phillips, Hailey Phillips, Tyler Rutledge and Dylan Rutledge and his special bulldog "Spud".
The family will receive friends from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Thursday at the Parrish Funeral Home in Princeton.
