William Bobby Stephenson
February 24, 2010Hoffman - William Bobby Stephenson, age 70, formerly of Clayton died Wednesday morning in Rex Hospital following a brief illness. Born September 12, 1939 in Durham County to the late Arthur William and Telza Roberts Stephenson he was preceded in death by a brother, Arthur William "Junior" Stephenson, Jr.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home in Selma with the Rev. Swade Barbour officiating. Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery in Clayton.
Surviving are his wife, Katherine Jackson Stephenson; sons, Michael Stephenson of Lumberton and Jeffery Stephenson of Pine Bluff; daughters, Debbie Crowder and husband Greg and Jody Faircloth all of Clayton and Bobbie Stephenson of Raleigh; thirteen grandchildren, Patrick Stephenson, Riley Stephenson, Kelly Stephenson, Noah Crowder, Heather Faircloth, Joshua Ramsey, James Campbell, Zachary Campbell, Danielle Campbell, William Campbell, Hunter Stephenson, Makayla Stephenson and Emma Grace Stephenson.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and at other times at the home of his daughter, Debbie Crowder, 604 John Street, Clayton, NC.
